Roger Boulton and Margaret Nash became good friends from the time spent together arranging articles on Paul Nash for the magazine 'Landscapes' which was never published (see TGA 7050/1868-1881). The letters concern Boulton's wish to purchase the Nash watercolour 'Cloud Cuckoo Nest' and his arrangement of paying Margaret in instalments. All but one of Boultons letters are from the Oxford University Press offices of Bombay or Calcutta, and relate his experiences of life working and travelling in India for the O.U.P. Boulton also expresses concern over Margaret's health and financial problems. Includes a letter from Roger Boulton's father W. Boulton to Margaret Nash, and a reply from Margaret to W. Boulton, arranging the collection of the Paul Nash watercolour 'Cloud Cuckoo Nest' (TGA 7050/1893-94). Also includes reference to Margaret Nash depositing a collection of 400 Paul Nash photographs at the Victoria and Albert Museum (TGA 7050/1887). TGA 7050.1886 includes illustrations by Roger Boulton.
Nine letters from Roger Boulton to Margaret Nash, and six replies from Margaret to Roger.
