Written from South Africa. Had a wonderful time during their three weeks in South Africa so far. Very interesting that question of Woman's Suffrage is now coming up in local politics. Public opinion and the press strongly in favour, though divisions of race and language make any consolidated Woman's Movement difficult. Great pleasure to meet Miss Solomon. Met also Mrs Mary Brown; hopes to see her again and to read her life of Olive Schreiner. Has not yet met Cronwright Schreiner. Has invitation from Mrs Solomon in Johannesburg and also Mrs Krann. To meet General and Mrs Smuts and spend weekend with Colonel and Mrs Cresswell.
