Pankhurst writing from Abyssinia. On it is written in Teresa's handwriting 'Sylvia Pankhurst, personal resume of later life work (chiefly). Some comments on earlier days' (It is obviously in response to a request from Teresa for details of her life which she sent out to all the militant suffrage workers that she knew. The manuscript written in her own hand covers 34 pages. P.1-18 Suffrage campaign, p.18-22 war years, p.23-31 1919-1934; Ethiopian period starting with invasion by Italy in 1934 and Sylvia's work for the Emperor and his country and ending with her emigration with her son Richard to Ethiopia in Jun 1956. Note attached to this entry: 'This item can now be found in the red book'. Undated. Envelope stamped 17 Aug 56.
