Scope and Content

Concerns the illness of Lady Burlington and her refusal to go to London for advice; Arundell's suspicion Lady Burlington does not want to part from the children but does not want them to go to London whilst two are not innoculated [against smallpox]. Also concerns planning for the care of the [4th Duke's] children at Chiswick should Lady Burlington die and the 4th Duke still be detained in Ireland. Signed "R Arundell".
