Concerns secret intelligence reports of letters intercepted from America thought to written by Captain George Crogham "an intriguing and disaffected person, and Indian Trader in Pennsylvania" and a James Allen of Philadelphia thought to be a ficticious name. Fox requests the 4th Duke's assistance in enquiring about the letters to Mr Gamble of "Derry". There is also reference to Monsieur Jobell and Baron Hatzell (see CS4/168) and the approval of the 4th Duke's leave of absence and appointment of Lord Justices for Ireland. Written from Whitehall.
