The entries (brief in the main) relate to the normal pursuits and activities of a country parson of the times - parish duties, interspersed with much fishing, shooting and sailing. Expeditions to sites of archaelogical and antiquarian interest also figures prominently in the diary as do references to domestic and family affairs.

Administrative / Biographical History
Curate of Llangeinwen and Llangaffo 1855-1871 under his father ( also named William Wynn Williams ) and rector there from 1878 until his death at the age of 59 in 1883 . He was an evangelical preacher and a keen antiquary , contributing several articles to Archaelogia Cambrensis . ( see R. Rhys Hughes = " Biographical Epitomes of Bangor Cllergy " ( Bangor Ms. 6458 ) ; also J.E. Griffith , Pedigrees , p.163) .
