Scope and Content

This valuable record of the shipping and trade up and down the river Conway was deposited in the library by Mrs E. Tindall of Llanrhos Nurseries, Llandudno.

It gives particulars on the hand page of the vessels arriving at Trefriw each day (including in some instances, their names); nature and amount of cargo carried , and the port of origin ; and on the right hand page , vessels sailing from Trefriw, their cargo and port for which they are bound.

A similar account covering the years 1835- 1847 and styled in the catalogue "Trefiw Port Book " , is already in the library , having arrived from another source. (see BMSS/ 7057; also BMSS/ 7058 ).
