Privately produced work drawing heavily on Roberts' journal and some letters. Comprises a general introduction followed by extracts from Roberts' journals and transcripts of a selection of his letters. Includes reproductions of a few documents and photographs.

Administrative / Biographical History

Rev Joseph Roberts (1795-1849) served as a Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society missionary in Sri Lanka (from 1819 to 1833) and their Madras District in India (from 1843 to 1849).
