Summary: A political satire written in imitation of Cato's Seven wise men of Greece. The two copies of the poem are folded and bound one inside the other, the 'inner' copy is in the hand of Thomas Bowdler (1661-1738). The first (and probably earlier) copy has the date '1704' written in Bowdler's hand at the top.
Incipit of poem: 'Seven sages in these lat[t]er times are seen'. Explicit of poem:'Tho they like Sampson in the ruine fall'.
