  • Jacob Hunt Prior ((1806-69) was born in Dover. He was converted at Penryn in Cornwall in 1826 and became a Bible Christian local preacher the following year. Prior entered the full-time ministry in 1831. He served as President of Conference in 1849, Connexional Secretary in 1848 and 1851, Financial Secretary in 1850 and Missions Secretary 1839-40, 1850-53 and 1856-62.
