  • William Courtice (1794-1866) was born at Twitching in Devon. He entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1820, served as President of Conference in 1834 and 1856, Connexional Treasurer 1853-65, and as the first Treasurer of the Missionary Society in 1827 and later 1844-65. Courtice was described by the historian and minister Frederick William Bourne as one of the three most powerful men in the Connexion, the others being James Thorne and William Reed.   • Samuel Crocker (1808-81) was born at Tetcott in North Devon. He was converted by Richard Kinsman in 1831 and entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1839. Crocker resigned after one year but was readmitted in 1842. He served for over thirty years in home circuits and was particularly noted for his success in inspiring revivals.   • Thomas Harris (1822-90) was born in South Molton and was converted in 1843. He entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1847 and served for over forty years in home circuit work. Source: Beckerlegge
  • Thomas Hillman entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1849 or 1850. He volunteered for the mission to South Australia in 1855, and served as President of the South Australian Conference in 1878 and Connexional Secretary in 1877. Hillman transferred to the South Australian Methodist Church in 1901. Source: Beckerlegge
  • John Kemeys (1792-1878) was born in Little Due Church in Herefordshire. He was converted by a Wesleyan Methodist minister and joined the Bible Christian Connexion in 1823. Kemeys entered the ministry in 1827 and served for over forty years in home circuits. Source: Beckerlegge and Bourne, p.469
  • William Metherall Bailey (1795-1873) was born at Thorne, Jacobstow, Cornwall. He entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1818 and served for over fifty years in home circuits, suffering great persecution. Source: Beckerlegge and Bourne, pp.222-227
  • Richard Seldon (1815-83) was born at Moorwinstow in Cornwall. He entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1846 and served for almost forty years in home circuits. Source: Beckerlegge and Bourne, pp.512-513
  • William Robert Kellaway Baulkwill (1860-1915) entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1882. He served as President of Conference in 1904, Connexional Treasurer 1902-06, Missionary Society Treasurer 1901-08 and Governor of Shebbear College 1909-1911. Source: Beckerlegge
