  • James Hinks (1813-96) was born in Shepton Mallet, Somerset. He was converted by the Bible Christian minister William Runnall in 1832 and entered the ministry in 1836. He served as President of Conference in 1858 and Connexional Secretary in 1857 and 1859. After his superannuation in 1880, Hinks moved to the Channel Isles. Source: Beckerlegge
