  • Annotated by Lewis Court - `Rev Johns D.D. went to America, formerly a B.C. minister. He visited the Forest Hills Conference of 1888 & had a great reception'
  • John Johns entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1856. He served as a circuit minister until 1871 when he was placed under the control of the Missionary Committee. In 1872 he disappears from the official record and apparently emigrated to the United States. He returned to Britain for a visit in 1888 and was a guest at that year's Bible Christian Conference at Forest Hills. Source: Beckerlegge and MAW Ms 91.12.29
