  • Thomas Grills Vanstone (1851-98) was the son of Isaac Balkwill Vanstone, President of the Bible Christian Conference in 1873. He was born in West Putford and was converted in 1871. In 1875 he entered the Bible Christian ministry and five years later volunteered to pioneer the Connexion's missionary work in China.
