Scope and Content

Mail Art. The French title, from a faux proverb by Musa, employs word play in that charité contains the word char: 'tank' (p. 240, C. Deliss, ed. 1995). The imagery in three sections makes a critique of development aid, food aid for starving children, by means of collage and drawing; on the right is a double ‘Marianne’, symbol of the French state, as a puppeteer in the aid game.
