First page of a letter from RD to his mother, relating to: the children, particularly Joanna whom he sees at least twice a week; his New Year broadcast, in which he introduced the King; progress with The cure for love; a recent meeting with [Harold] Wilson (President of the Board of Trade) at a private dinner given by Korda, where Wilson spoke on the British film crisis; and RD's decision to film in Britain and not the USA.

Dated at: 23 Three Kings Yard. Holograph. This is the earliest letter in the archive to be written on the headed paper of Robert Donat Productions Ltd.
