Scope and Content

Letter from Ella to RD's mother and family, relating to: their arrival in Hollywood, which seems quite unreal and very fantastic; their pleasure at meeting high profile film industry figures; their bungalow at the Garden of Allah [a hotel which formed the centre for the British colony in Hollywood]; and meetings with Rowland Lee [director of The Count of Monte Cristo], Philip Dunne [who also worked on the script], Aubrey Smith and Reginald Smith.

Dated at: Hollywood, California, USA. Holograph.
