Victor has drawn the numbers 1965 and featured his face in the numbers 9 and 6. His face is coloured blue, red eyes and features a disgruntled expression. He writes to Inge wishing her a 'Happy New Year'. He says he is looking forward to the 'Tails' of Hoffman, referring to the opera, or later film 'Tales of Hoffman'. On the reverse, Victor writes 'For Inge'.
