Early 1950s (chapter 7)

Contains Roger Berthoud's notes and source material for the seventh chapter which covered Sutherland's activities in the early 1950s. There are transcripts from interviews with Francis Bacon, Kathleen Sutherland, and Harry Miller. There are transcripts of letters from Francis Bacon to Sutherland, photocopied letters from Hans Juda to Kathleen, and from Sutherland to various recipients. Some documents relate to Sutherland's prospective portrait of the The Queen Mother and there are assorted press cuttings related to Sutherland's exhibitions held throughout the 1950s.
