Berthoud's notes relate to a 1935 sketchbook, trips to Yorkshire, France and Wales; and Sutherland's poster and stamp designs. Source material includes transcripts from interviews with Kathleen Sutherland, Vivien Ingman, Kenneth Clark, Humphrey Smith and Paul Miller; excerpts from Kathleen's diary; copies of articles written by Sutherland for 'Signature' journal; letters from old students of Chelsea School of Art and photocopied letters from Sutherland.
