Scope and Content

For £320 from Anne Lewis, widow Humphrey Lewis, and William Lewis, all of Chebsey co. Staffs., to Arthur Walley, Mayor of Chester, and William Crompton, alderman of Chester, of the (tenement) with appurtenances in Chebsey, in which Humphrey Lewis is now dwelling.

Witnesses: Thomas Daintrey, Humphrey Lewis.

Endorsed: Memorandum of agreement that Humphrey Lewis shall have liberty during his life to go from the room called the "Further Parlor" to the well in the back side, and to return from the same at his pleasure.
