James Epps and Co. Ltd was incorporated 1893 and wound up in 1950. James Epps and Co. (Cocoa) Ltd incorporated 29 December 1950. W.S. Shuttleworth was the majority shareholder until 1969. It was renamed Rowntree Mackintosh Nominees, 9 December 1969.
James Epps and Co. Ltd was incorporated 1893. Until 1927 the factory was at Blackfriars, from then all Epps goods were manufactured at Whitefields Ltd, Plaistow and the registered office of the company was also transferred there. The firm was wound up in 1950 and James Epps and Co. (Cocoa) Ltd was incorporated on 29 December 1950.
Rowntree Mackintosh Nominees was formed on 9 December 1969 and succeeded James Epps and Co. (Cocoa) Ltd.
