Administrative / Biographical History
Edwin Lloyd (1856-1932) served as a missionary with the London Missionary Society in Southern Africa between 1884 and 1914. He served in the Shoshong and Kanye areas and performed work mainly of an evangelistic nature, working with local tribes and spending time on educational work. He employed his language skills in interpreting for the three chiefs from Bechuanaland on their visit to England, revising the Sechwana scriptures and compsing hymns in the Sechwana language.
