To his mother and Harry [brother], believes an earlier letter sent on 12th was on a ship that was sunk. He says travelled on a Polish ship SS Chrobry and spent the time learning how to decipher messages. He describes their living conditions in Norway and asks if they can send on some things such as Horlicks and chocolate. Adds he works 8am to 9pm with an hour for lunch. Mentions again the deteriorating situation in France.
