To his mother,has been to see a film "This above all" which starred Joan Fontaine, which he found excellent. Attended a point to point with the Wavells; comments on Tommy Bird, Wavell's new ADC [Bird, 1918-2017 was an architect by profession]. Visited by Jack Steedman of the Madras Sappers and Miners (they knew each other from Bradfield].
