Administrative / Biographical History

The company of E. Dooley Limited was established in 1932. In 1935 it was taken over by one of its directors, A.B. Gilbert, forming the new company A. & R. Gilbert Limited. By 1942 the company was based at Langley near Slough, Buckinghamshire, and had become associated with Pasolds Limited. The company name was changed to Ladybird (Oldham) Limited in July 1964, and changed to Pasolds (Fabrics) Limited in 1978. The company was registered no. 306562 at Companies House. It ceased trading on 1 January 1986 and its assets and liabilities were transferred to Pasolds (Chilprufe) Limited. Pasolds (Fabrics) Limited was dissolved on 8 April 1997.
