Dennis Roberts

Dennis was raised in Pennmaenmawr and has lived in the area his entire life. He became interested in studying local history and broader historical themes following encouragement by his father, who worked as a teacher. He would later study to become a teacher, working in Manchester and Mid Wales for a number of years before returning to work at Ysgol Pencae, Penmaenmawr, as a deputy teacher. In the early 1970's Dennis, along with other core members, founded the Penmaenmawr Historical Society. He has written a number of books about the industrial history of the town, and has conducted numerous expeditions to various heritage, historical and archaeological sites within the surrounding area.
