Scope and Content

Jimmy Curren has lived within the town all his life. He has worked as a fireman within the town, as well as a postman and worked at Trefriw woolen mill for a few years. He recalls soldiers parading down the streets of Llanrwst during the war, and recalls memories of Scotland Street where he was born, a slum in the town. The site was redeveloped into the modernised Cae Person housing estate, where he lived at age 6 onwards. Jimmy also recalls an air disaster happening in the area, and is a notable character within the community.
