Domineco Parisella, Tony's grandfather, moved to the United Kingdom in 1912, moving to the Llandudno area in the 1940's in search of employment. For a number of years he worked with the Forte family, an established and well connected family which was part of a small Italian colony in the area at this time. In 1952 he opened the 'Continental Ice Cream Parlour' in Lancaster Square. In 1974 ownership of the business passed over to Tony's father Joe, later passing to Tony in the 1990s. The business is now a recognised regional industry which supplies visitors and local businesses in the area with a variety of ice cream flavours. The factory is currently situated in an old building, once hosting a cinema, nearby Lancaster Square. Tony Parisella, current manager of the business, still runs the site as a family business with his father and members of his family.
