Scope and Content

One sheet of paper containing a poem of 3 qtt. + refrain, a Gaelic version of Burns' 'Ye Banks and Braes o Bonnie Doon'. It begins: 'A bruachana Dhuna, ciom ta sibh gun mhuthadh/Co maiseach co cuiraidh 's co urair fo bhlaith'. The name of the translator is not given but 'Bowmore, 15 August 1821' is written at the foot of the page. There is an Irish version of the poem by Matthew Moore Graham.
