Evans-Lombe A is smaller of two belonging in 1926 to Major E.H. Evans-Lombe of Marlingford Hall, near Norwich, mentioned in Stevenson, Birds of Norfolk, III, p. 111, footnote. Three vellum membranes with date 1674 at head of membrane 1; at end a faded inscription ‘given me by the hand of Mr Isaac / Gillman Schoolmaster of Thorp … 1751. Tho. Th…’
Evans-Lombe B, a larger roll, mentioned in Stevenson, Birds of Norfolk, III, p. 111, footnote. The top of the roll is headed by an imperial crown drawn in ink. Roll is almost a duplicate of the Blofeld roll.
Blofeld, property in 1926 of Mrs Blofeld of Hoveton House near Wroxham, Norfolk, inherited by her husband. Referred to in Stevenson, Birds of Norfolk, III, p. 107, footnote, and J.H. Gurney, Early Annals of Ornithology, p. 112 and displayed (6 April 1905) to the SAL and described by William Minet, Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries, ser II, XX, p. 276 ff. Six vellum membranes, almost a duplicate of Evans-Lombe B.

Cantley, whereabouts unknown in 1927, formerly in collection of Mrs Shanke of Cantley, near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. At least four first hand copies known,one with Quaritch in 1926 (part of item 1485 described above); second, an inaccurate copy, in Norwich Archives, made by Thomas B.P. Langley 2 November 1825; third in possession of Col. H.H. Gilbert of Lowestoft in 1927, made in 1825, carefully made; fourth made 1828 by Rev E. Wymer of Ingham, sold in 1899, when one or more copies made by W.H. Cooke of Stalham and later of Ipswich. (a loose insert, a letter from David Lack, Edward Grey Institute of Ornithology, Oxford, dated 4 Jan 1960, refers to W.H. Cooke copy. The Wymer copy was with W.A. Hunt, bookseller of 14 Orford Hill, Norwich, April 1928.
Towneley (see also Ticehurst MS 819/17) formerly in library at Towneley Hall, near Burnely, Lancashire, sold at Sotheby’s 27-28 June 1883, with Quaritch c. 1885, copied selectively by J.E. Harting of Portmore Lodge, Weybridge. Original with Quaritch again (or still) 1926, cat 357 and cat 399, item 1486. An oblong quarto book, Fenland area.
Swatman, in 1836 property of late A.H. Swatman of Kings Lynn, referred to in Rev William Blyth, Historical Notices and Records of the Village and Parish of Fincham, 1863, p. 97, and Stevenson, Birds of Norfolk, III, p. 110. Afterwards property of Hon. F. Walpole and in 1926 part of Quaritch cat 399, item 1485, a small oblong quarto book, 42 vellum fols, ‘altogether one of the best executed rolls, very neat and in excellent preservation’ (Ticehurst), ‘a great general resemblance to Egerton MS 2413 in the British Museum’. Covers whole of Fenland, includes 871 marks, 29 unnamed, made or copied after 1632. Ticehurst added note says ‘Wm Hobson (34.B1) succeeded his father John 1652 and d. 1660’
