Owned by Johannes Borret in 1707./ Oblong folio book, bound in marbled boards, 49 paper folios, / 3 folios at the beginning contain “The Order for Swans” based on the printed order of 1598. / 41 folios washed over with brick-red paint, and filled with bills & marks (on recto side)/ entirely in brush-work; roll unique in this respect. / Marks arranged in groups according to number and position of the / gaps on the bills’ edges and each folio headed accordingly. / No index. / (An incomplete copy was made about 1886 by the late J.E.
