Scope and Content

of a lease upon Hafodgai in the parish of Llanenddwyn, originally granted by the mayor, bailiffs, and burgesses of Harlech to John Evans of Llandecwyn in 1595 for a term of 70 years, by the aforesaid J.E. to Elisse ap William of Trawsfynydd, for the "rest and residue." The bond of obligation in £200 to observe the poll-deed covers also the grant by Evans of Murie'r Kayre in Llanenddwyn to the same. Elisse, which does not seem to have been included in the Harlech lease. The Murie grant was affected by two leases already granted, one to David Lloyd ap William, one to Robert ap John Lewis; the dower of Gwen, wife of John Evans, had also to be remembered.
