Bargain and Sale

1. John Thomas ap John [ap Ieuan ap Llewelyn] of Pencoed

2. Richard ap John Owen of Ynyscynhaearn [his father-in-law].

Bargain and Sale of Bryn Ceirch, Maes yr Odyn and Ynys y Farian conveyed and confirmed to Richard ap Owen in consideration of £6 in hand paid to J.T., and also in consideration of an annuity of £5 paid to J.T. "yearely dureing his naturall life." Transaction to be regularised at Great Sessions (this was done on 18 April, 1637).

This deed and one or two others collateral, had to be examined by Commissioners, and some of the witnesses who subscribed as well - in this case on 1 November, 1638 ("at the house of Jane Bland in Dolbenmaen") and again on 11 March 1639-1640.
