Scope and Content

£800 marriage portion, £400 in hand paid, the other £400 in consideration of R.P. arranging an annuity of £25, accruing out of the rents and profits of Myfyrian Isa in the parish of Llanidan, to be paid to his wife if he happen to die before her (this in lieu of dower or "thirds" she might claim out of the entire estate or her husband's). This document is in the script of R.P.'s brother William, the attorney and Bodorgan agent, who signed also as second witness.
