Scope and Content

by William Jones of Dynam and John Williams (the second), his son and heir, to Coningsby Williams of Penymynydd upon Llawr y Dre, Tyddyn y Llan, Tyddyn y Mynydd, Cae y Llan, Y Ty wrth y Llan, Ty Ellin Edmond, and other tenements; consideration, £80; other parties to the transaction were Richard Bulkeley of Glan-y-gors, Robert Hampton of Henllys by Beaumaris, and Robert Bulkeley of the parish of St. Dunstans in the West, London.

On the dorse are entries of interest, (£66) paid by John Williams on 10 November 1714, and by a John Morgan (£24) on 20 February 1718-1719.

Administrative / Biographical History

Coningsby Williams was grandson of Hugh Williams of Ysgeifiog (Pedigrees, 107); he became High Sheriff of Anglesey and M.P. for Beaumaris in the early years if Queen Anne's reign; for a time he lived at Penmynydd, having married the heiress of the old Tudor family.
