Scope and Content

Interesting and important because the beneficiaries include a number of the later generation of Anwyls of Llanycil (her nephews and their children). A bequest of £100 was made to "my nephew the Revd. Robert Roberts Rector of Llangwyfan," i.e. the Rev. R. Lloyd Anwyl Roberts, who held the rectory of Llangwyfan (1830-1857) before he acceded to Llangynhafal in latter year.

Administrative / Biographical History

Jane Roberts must have been daughter to David Roberts of Goppa, and sister to the Rev. Robert Roberts of Llanrhaeadr.
