Grants to W.H. a parcel of land called Sling bordering on the river Braint and on the watercourse to Melin Rhos y Cerrig; W.H. to J.P., a parcel of land on the road leading from Bodowyr to Rhyd Dinam. One of the witnesses, in fact the attorney acting for J.P., was Thomas Williams of Llanidan, who was later to attain great fame as the organising genius behind the Mynydd Paris enterprises. W.H. was father to Sir W. Bulkeley Hughes the elder, and grandfather to W. Bulkeley Hughes the M.P.; it was he who married Anna, daughter of Fortunatus Wright "the pirate" and Mary, daughter of William Bulkeley the diarist of Brynddu.
