Scope and Content

Handwritten and typed letters and copy letters between M. Philips Price and A.P. Wadsworth. Discussed topics include the assasination of [Iranian Prime Minister Haz Ali] Razmara, [American diplomat W.A.] Harriman's attempts to settle tensions between Britain and Iran over the Anglo-Iranian Oil Field, free enterprise and workers' control in Germany, the death of Foreign Secretary [Ernest] Bevin and its effects on the British Foreign Office, and Philips Price's writings on these and other foreign policy issues, in addition to his book reviews for the Guardian.

Philips Price also describes Parliamentary politics in the lead-up to his autumn re-election campaign.
