Scope and Content

Hulme Hall is a hall of residence located in Victoria Park, Manchester. Originally a private hall for men, with close connections to the Church of England, it was transferred to University ownership in 1962, and is now a mixed hall. The Council was the senior governing body of the Hall after the University took over. It was chaired by the Bishop of Manchester. It usually met annually, and received reports from the hall Warden concerning developments at the Hall.
