Subjects include: his son joining the Scouts (26 Sep); voting day and receiving some results through the wireless (29 Oct); installation of gas fire (31 Oct); his son coming first in his school examinations (5 Dec); purchase of a Ewbank Sweeper (23 Dec); his son sitting for a bursary in a Gorbals school (14 Mar); instructing clerkess at new factory how to keep books (16 Apr); purchase of bike (8 Apr); helping his employers move premises (18 May); his son winning the £20 bursary he applied for (22 Jun); holidaying in Mr Baxter's house ("Kildare") at Milngavie (1 - 27 Jul); burning of Kelvin Hall (7 Jul); holiday to Rothesay (1 - 11 Sep); seeing the Rothesay illuminations (4 Sep) and visiting Rothesay Castle and the museum (7 Sep).
