Scope and Content

Church Hanborough National School was built in 1832. In 1928 the school became a Senior School but in 1933 started receiving children over the age of 8 as accommodation was insufficient at Long Hanborough Junior and Infants School (please see S121/1 for records of this school). In 1940 the schools were reorganised again, with Church Hanborough taking the Juniors and Long Hanborough the Infants. The school closed in 1959 and was replaced with Long Hanborough Manor Primary School (please see S121/2 for records of this school). Please see S120/1 for other records of this school.

Long Hanborough Infants School was built in 1879. The school was reorganised in 1928 as a junior mixed and infants school and in 1940 as an infants school. The school became a controlled Church of England school in 1958. The school closed in 1998 when it was merged with Long Hanborough Manor Primary School (please see S121/2 for records of this school). Please see S121/1 for other records of this school.
