Scope and Content

Great Milton National Mixed School was opened in 1854 with accommodation for 150 children and was enlarged in 1860. In 1930 the school was reorganised as a junior school for children up to eleven years with the seniors attending Great Haseley School and later Wheatley School. The school became controlled in 1952 and moved to a new site in the early 1970s. Please see S171/1 and PAR171/14 for other records of this school.
