Scope and Content

There was a Wesleyan Methodist chapel established in Chapel Street in 1796, but the present church was built in 1812, and became the head of its own circuit in 1824. It joined the Oxford (East) Circuit in 1905, before becoming one of the main churches in the new Thame and Watlington Circuit in 1934
