Scope and Content

By 1866 a Primitive chapel was established in the village, and was part of Chinnor Primitive Methodist Circuit. This closed soon after World War I. In 1945 a small Methodist congregation rented the former Baptist chapel, by then in private ownership. It was not until 1957 that the Methodist Church purchased the premises. The decision to sell the premises was made in 1973
