A Primitive Methodist Chapel existed by 1860, originally being in the Chinnor Primitive Circuit. In 1870, the Primitive Methodist Society started its lease of a small cottage chapel. The chapel was vacated in 1968, so Methodists joined with the Anglicans attending the parish church at Crowell
