The Primitive Methodists purchased a cottage in the village in 1860 for evangelistic services. A chapel was built in 1866 as part of Chinnor Primitive Circuit, and so joined the new Thame and Watlington Circuit in 1934. The building was sold in 1965 and converted to private residence
