Scope and Content

Playshul aimed to provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which Oxford Jewish children aged up to 4 or 5 years old could make friends and learn through play about the Jewish way of life. It was run by a committee composed of parents, and under the supervision of a qualified teacher. See also O26/4/A1/1 for notes of a meeting of mothers who wanted to start a Playshul.
