Testator appoints his brother in law, Thomas Travers Wood and his nephews, William Edward Davidson and Richard Macaulay Thomas, executors and trustees. Devises his house, i.e. 21 Picton Terrace, Carmarthen, in which he resides, his adjacent house and coach house in Union Street (occupied by his servant man) and other houses in the same street, i.e. Union Street, (occupied by Thomas Jones, mason), to his nephew, Richard Macaulay Thomas. Bequeathes his office furniture, fittings and his books to his nephew the said RMT. Devises the rest of his realty and personality to his said trustees, whom he directs shall out of the money arising from the sale, disposition and conversion of his residuary personality, and out of the money that shall belong to him at his death, pay his debts and funeral expenses an lay out the remainder in government securities, etc., and divide the income therefrom into six equal parts and pay as follows: to John Daniel Thomas (testator's brother) for life, then to JDT's wife, Mary; to Clare Jane Thomas (wife of the testator's brother William Henry Thomas) for life, then to WHT; the trustees are to deduct out of this share the premiums payable on the Insurance Policy on the life of the said WHT, which was taken out at the time of his marriage; to Rachel Thomas (testator's sister) for life, but she is always to account to the trustees for an annuity of £220 secured to her by the testator's bond, so that it may be deducted from this share; to Mary Anne Davidson (testator's sister) widow, for life; to Emily Higginson (testator's sister) for life; to Agnes Jane Wood (testator's sister and wife of Thomas Travers Wood, one of the trustees) for life, then to TTW for life. Further trust funds are set up for the testator's nieces and nephews. Testator directs that if his brother, William Henry Thomas should owe him money at his (i.e. testator's) death, then he is to be released from the same. Codicil, dated, 26 June 1889, whereby testator bequeathes money he has invested in the Law Union Fire and Life Insurance Company to his nephew, Richard Macaulay Thomas, and gives £500 to the Carmarthen Infirmary. Attached: Death Certificate for Thomas Travers Wood, who died on 28 Jan. 1908 at Glanmor Crescent, Swansea, aged 74, and two Notices, both dated 5 July 1897, to the Trustees stating that the estate and interest of Townshend Wood and Richard Aubrey Wood in the testator's residuary personal estate has been assigned to Hugh Bellingham and Percival Henry Grundy. Testator died 4 Sept. 1890.
