1 George Brock Jones of Chicago, Illinois, USA, gent. 2 Benjamin Brock Jones, recently of Chicago, now of Llanstephan, co. Carm. 3 William Simons of Merthyr Tydfil, co. Glam., gent. Mortgage by 1 to 3, with consent of 2, as protector of the settlement, of those parts of the estate which have not been sold under an Order in Chancery in law suits instituted for the administration of the estate and to which 1 is entitled in tail male or tail expectant on the death of 2, his father, and Assignment of a sum of £473.16.9 consolidated £3 per cent bank annuities standing to the credit of the law suits (further described), to secure £650 and interest. Attached: Certificate, dated 24 Oct. 1874, signed and sealed by James Warrack, the British Vice Consul in Chicago, stating that he has known Benjamin Brock Jones for several years when he was engaged at the Vice Consulate, and that he is also acquainted with his son George Brock Jones, who is executing this deed. Endorsed with the Notice and Memorandum as in no. 3.
